What you’ll be doing:
This is by no means a “behind-the-scenes" role, as your work will help the company serve patients daily in a multitude of ways.
The Facilities Technician assists with general maintenance and repairs at various sites, as well as compliance activities, to ensure facilities are always maintained in the best possible condition. This role will also provide on call coverage to support facility emergencies
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Facilities Technician assists in maintenance and repairs on the physical building, mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, as well as plumbing and electrical fixtures, ensuring facilities are always maintained in the best possible condition. Ensures that all mechanical, electrical, and IT rooms are clean and free of trash. Acts as a secondary contact for contractors / vendors for routine and emergency building related issues associated with maintenance, life safety, environment of care, and project management needs ensuring compliance with code requirements and organizational standards. Assists with the work request system to ensure timely and effective response and provides work request status information to team members. Assists with compliance of the facilities with all regulatory agencies, including The Joint Commission, for life safety and environment of care needs. Participates in quarterly environment of care rounds with vendors, property management, housekeeping, Quality & Compliance, and other parties to ensure life safety and environment of care compliance. Provides on call coverage to support facility emergencies. Assists in supporting the Quality & Compliance team with emergency management, creating, and editing policies and procedures as needed.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Vocation or technical education preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license with safe driving record. Hands on knowledge of building mechanical systems and controls, energy management, and building maintenance skills. 1-4 years of hospital facility management, plant operations or maintenance experience. Knowledge of The Joint Commission Life Safety and Environment of Care standards preferred. Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, including working frequent evening and weekends.What’s in it for you:

Compensation starting range for the Facilities Technician role is $20 to $26 an hour. Ranges are based upon market expectations and are dependent upon candidate experience.
