The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility. This includes both preventative maintenance and corrective actions to ensure optimal performance of equipment and systems. The role supports the efficiency and reliability of production operations by troubleshooting issues, making adjustments, and performing installations or upgrades as needed. The technician may also assist higher-level maintenance staff and participate in special projects.

Health & SafetyMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Follow all safety protocols and participate actively in health and safety initiatives and improvement programs.Compliance & Administration
Maintain accurate maintenance logs. Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, cGMPs, and all applicable regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, DHEC).Productivity
Support production and facility operations by completing daily maintenance tasks such as troubleshooting, repair, preventive care, and equipment cleaning. Demonstrate reliable attendance and responsiveness to scheduled and emergency maintenance needs.Continuous Improvement
Contribute to process improvement efforts aimed at reducing downtime, increasing efficiency, and minimizing waste. Participate in improvement proposals and complete special projects as assigned.Perform necessary repairs, adjustments, or installations to maintain facility and equipment performanceTactical ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and systems, ensuring safety and efficiency in all repairs.Operate and test newly serviced equipment to confirm proper functionality.Review shift pass-downs, gather required tools, and ensure timely line start-ups; shut down equipment properly at the end of each shift.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop following project completionComplete assigned training and comply with continuing education requirementsCarry out additional duties as assigned by management.

Education, Experience, and Licenses:
Associate degree in a technical field OR 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal educationMinimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial environment.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilitiesFamiliar with LOTO and OSHA standardsExperience with process support equipment (hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, etc.)Proficient with tools, meters, and precision measuring instrumentsAbility to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsBasic Machining and fabrication skillsCapable of drive setup and electrical testingProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), ability to create and manage maintenance documentation.
