Our client in the Retail Industry, based in Port Elizabeth, is currently looking to employ a Facilities Manager (Civil / Construction).

Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualification (degree preferred) in the built environment, or Building Science, etc. 3 years’ experience in facilities management or building maintenance (Preferably within tenanted retail environments). Financial acumen and experience managing project budgets. Contractor Management experience according to SLA’s. Knowledge of and experience in compliance with relevant building codes and legislation including SANS, Municipal by-laws and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and relevant safety regulations. Strong project management skills with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities, but not limited to:
1. Capex Projects:
Oversee capital expenditure projects, focusing on planning, executing and managing maintenance and improvement projects. Work closely with asset management and property management teams to assess property needs. Conduct inspections (technical, housekeeping, service contract, take on, and take back). 2. SLA & Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM):
Manage all Service Level Agreements and the implementation of PPM. Work closely with external vendors, contractors and the property management team to ensure high levels of maintenance and tenant satisfaction. 3. Tenant Installations:
Oversee and manage all installation processes. Work closely with the leasing team, property managers and contractors to ensure the installations are done and completed and within budget and on schedule.
