We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician ($20.85/hr) for our First Quality Tissue plant located in Anderson, SC. Facilities Maintenance Technicians are responsible for routine tasks associated with the grounds maintenance/facilities duties.

Primary responsibilities include:
• Maintain a clean site by executing a daily trash pick-up (operations grounds including parking lot
• Keep the water coolers supplied with bottle water.
• Transport/delivery/set-up and clean-up for meetings/visitors – seating/displays/banners/meals and supplies
• Office moves which include the need to coordinate and participate in moving furniture along with the assembly of office furniture/shelving
• Responsible for sign fabrication and installation plus flag/banner assembly
• Painting throughout facility as needed
• Bollard Safety rail installation and removal
• Site wide repairs on building and grounds
• Installation of white boards/projectors/projector screens/cork boards and monitors
• Landscaping and grounds upkeep
• Perform Safety devices installation – column protectors/AED’s/safety
• Ensure that signage/earplug dispensers/safety banners etc. are kept supplied.
• Coordinate equipment moves for site wide Departments (printers, copiers, etc.)
• Support the Utilities Department with outages/area cleanup
• Service and maintain mobile equipment
• Maintain housekeeping duties for Administration Building and office
trailers – such as walkways swept and clean as well as maintenance in these areas such as loose boards, installed step treads, cement repair
• Administration building, guard shack and office trailer lighting/maintenance including plumbing/tile and floor repair
• Practice good hygiene, treating everyone with respect, being constructive and tactful, communicating with your team and customers, and abiding by company policies and procedures
• Observe all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times. (PPE, LOTO, construction safety, etc.)
• Perform carpentry work
o (fabrication of crates, platforms, tables, framing, and associated installation)
o Repair and install drywall
o Paint walls, guards, floors, parking lines, etc.
o Site wide touch up and repairs on buildings and ground
• Perform lifting with proper rigging techniques
• Install and repair door lock equipment and door hardware; and know the facility lock system
• Train other team members
• Use tin equipment (nibblers, breaks, etc.)
• Drill and tap all sizes properly
• Use hand and power tools (band saw, table saw, bench and hand grinders, sanders, etc.)
• Perform light, medium, and heavy lifting
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2 years of construction or Facilities Maintenance experience required
• Must promote and practice the attitude of “Safety First”
• Show initiative and work with little, or no supervision
• Know the INFOR system, and enter and retrieve work orders and reports
• Certified to operate a fork/hand truck and Genie Boom
• Understand the facility layout, and flow of materials and products
• Able to demonstrate proper use of hand and power tools (band saw, table saw, bench and hand grinders, sanders, and etc
