Facilities Maintenance Technician

Saugerties, NY

The Facilities Maintenance Technician employee plays a vital role in guaranteeing a safe and efficient work environment for all staff and activities within our premises. Their responsibilities encompass ensuring the proper functioning of facilities, workspaces, and equipment.

Main Responsibilities

Respond to requests from building managers to conduct various maintenanceContinuous awareness of the site requirements, status, maintenance, and utilitiesTo ensure corporate safety standards are incorporated into current working practice

Support operations, engineering, and facility projects as needed to maintain, improve, and introduce new processes and equipment

Perform routine preventive maintenance of production and non-production equipment, corrective maintenance work and assisting with the installation of new equipment 

Timely and appropriate reaction to break-downs, repairs, and changing needs of the business 

Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication, alignments, equipment inspections, mechanical inspections of production equipment 

Ability to interact with other craft disciplines to complete daily assignments 

Complete other duties as assigned

Education Level

High school diploma or GED equivalent

Relevant Previous Experience

Previous experience in a similar role is essential

Knowledge areas/Skills

HVAC knowledge a plusElectrical and plumbing experience a plusUse, hand tools and associated shop equipmentForklift certified a plusAbility to work independentlyGood written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in home country language, a basic command of written and spoken English required

Hourly Range: $19.00/per hour - $24.00/per hour

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
