Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to join the Engineering team! This role is full-time working varied DAY shifts and schedules as needed by the department.  

Requirements for consideration:

High School or GED 5 years of project management or applicable/related experience with one year in a supervisory role.

 

 

Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:

Oversees and assists team members in assigned functional area, which may include but not limited to, ensuring team is meeting key-deliverables and quality standards, addressing and resolving challenges, managing and tracking performance, and assisting in time management and scheduling; escalates issues to senior leaders as needed. Ensures that all shop team members utilize appropriate safety precautions outlined in departmental policies and governmental standards. Identifies and documents the justification of resources to accomplish the shop's mission. Acts as a mentor to shop team members in matters of compensation, work assignments, working conditions and other complaints/problems. Establishes performance standards and expectations while providing effective coaching to meet those standards. Provides continuous feedback on team member performance/produces a written annual performance appraisal within 14 days of the due date. Documents disciplinary measures by following the Human Resources positive disciplinary system. Ensures all documentation related to work orders is received and recorded in the CMMS system. Inspects the campus to develop a tabulation of hazardous deficiencies addressing emergency power, fire alarm, nurse call, life safety, physical plant, construction and maintenance issues requiring correction. May perform additional duties as assigned.
