**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and control systems. This role involves testing system competency, evaluating performance, and maintaining a variety of facility systems, components, and structures. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and control systems. + Assist in planning and scheduling preventative maintenance work. + Repair and maintain facilities systems, components, and structures. + Research and order replacement parts, equipment, materials, and supplies as required. + Maintain induction and air handling units, including cleaning, inspecting, and servicing. + Coordinate maintenance of water distribution systems. + Identify, repair, and maintain appliances and heating and cooling equipment. + Perform service and preventative maintenance on motorized equipment. + Identify repair and maintenance projects requiring contractors or vendors. + Coordinate with Facility Project Manager to resolve facility issues. + Coordinate with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to prioritize tasks. + Access and adjust computerized control systems for lighting or energy management. + Train less-skilled staff in facilities maintenance trades. + Develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets. + Effectively use computerized maintenance management system and service request systems. **Essential Skills** + Facilities maintenance + Maintenance technician + HVAC + Mechanical + Repair + Preventive maintenance + Troubleshooting **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization. + Maintain appropriate records and reports. + Perform other duties as assigned. + Building maintenance and construction trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, tile, etc.). + HVAC repair and inspection. + PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices. + Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring. + Manufacturing experience preferred. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a supportive work environment with benefits starting on Day 1 of hire, including medical, dental, vision, and company-paid life insurance.
