Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to lead the repair of equipment, machinery and plant. Performing preventive maintenance tasks and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems to ensure their optimal functioning and longevity. Co -ordinate Facilities work orders; routine planned, corrective and predictive maintenance tasks. Respond to emergency breakdowns across the site, such as power outages, leaks, or equipment failures and taking prompt action to mitigate risks and minimize downtime. Monitor and respond to Building Management System (BMS) alarms. Providing training and guidance to junior engineers and technicians. Ensure documentation of maintenance activities is to applicable standards, for example, cGMP, as required. Manages overall facility planning as well as ensures control and maintenance of the site Layout and Services Drawings. Liaise with and manage external vendors. project teams regularly to ensure positive outcomes. This position will work with operations to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways and lead initiatives to ensure sustainable results. Function coordinating and prioritizing the combined activities of cross-functional teams by providing direction guidance. Ensuring the correct maintenance and repair of production related machinery and building infrastructure equipment and processes. Diagnosing problems with equipment or systems and implementing appropriate solutions to resolve issues efficiently.

Ensures that Mechanical, Structural and Civil installation and operations conform to standards and site requirements by preparing or commissioning mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil systems specifications and technical drawings. Maintains, upgrades, and optimizes existing electrical systems. Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or site requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities. Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering projects. Prepares specifications for purchases of equipment, services and materials. Supervises and trains technical team members. Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, obsolescence, safety requirements and latest technology advancements.

Key technical requirements: Knowledge of Compressed Air, chillers, Reverse osmosis, sanitary hot water, vacuum pumps, (Computer Room Air Conditioning) units, HVAC experience in Quality critical HVAC systems refrigeration systems, sprinkler systems, waste systems, working knowledge of pumps, motors, Fire Alarm, Gas Detection, CCTV and Access Control water systems to include Heating hot water boilers, Chilled Water, Purified water, pre-treatment systems. Knowledge of building codes and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:  Registered Professional Engineer and/or Licensure or Certification by regionally specific governing boards.
