Description

    Coordinates facilities changes and improvements; maintains relationships with various suppliers and vendors of services provided to the facility; communicates changes and improvements to affected facility occupants. Performs activities under moderate supervision. Partners with customers, facilities, contractors and others to provide project management, design, quotes, scheduling, and coordination for facility-related projects. Coordinates with facilities management to schedule work and special projects for the assigned facility. Works with corporate indirect purchasing to understand supplier base, consolidate suppliers, put appropriate contacts into place, and negotiate cost reductions with suppliers to the facility; maintains relationships with various suppliers and vendors of services provided to the facility; coordinates with furniture and office equipment vendors to ensure appropriate furnishings and services. Conducts improvements and needs analyses; assists with planning for changes and improvements; schedules and implements plan; reviews result upon completion.   Qualifications - External

Education, Licenses, Certifications High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.  

 

 

Experience

  Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.   Primary function of this role is to provide facilities support, including but not limited to, HSE / facilities audits, shop maintenance, ordering and maintaining facility supplies, etc. Additionally, this is a driver role - CDL required, will include daily driving to and from ports, customer site, etc. Secondary support will be required as needed in Parts warehouse to include bin counts, inventory, pulling orders, etc.    Requirements:    CDL Class B, with passenger endorsement  Clean driving abstract  Comfortable with inventory management, working with numbers, data entry      

This position requires a CDL (Med-Card) and will be a part of the FMCSA pool. We will also be required to complete a DMV driving report for this position.

  A current valid CDL is required for this role. This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free of major violations This role is subject to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) drug and alcohol testing requirements and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
