Facilities Apprentice

As a Facilities Apprentice working for JAX you will be in a concentrated apprentice program. This position to introduce you to facilities maintenance in a practical level, and will complement your current education program. You will be assigned to a team member that will provide you leadership in your assigned tasks a to ensure timely completion while meeting project, quality, safety and company satisfaction goals. The Facilities Intern responsibilities span a broad spectrum to include :

Assists Facilities team on duties that coordinate with the education of:

·        Electronics Technology Program

·        Licensed HVAC Technician

·        Licensed Electrician

Assists Facilities Management staff on the agency's property asset tag project, including identifying property assets and updating the program files.

Assists Facilities Management staff to draft, review and revise procedures, processes and quality assurance measures

Provides operational and administrative support to Facilities Management staff as needed.

General Functions

Performs work on special projects related to security, safety, operational risk, and facilities management.Collects, organizes, analyses and/or prepares materials in response to requests for program information and/or reports. May assist in researching, compiling and analyzing data; entering dating into spreadsheets, databases and other automated applications; and preparing complex queries and reports.May perform back-up duties as assigned. Performs related work (general and department specific) as assigned

Pay Rate: $20 per hour
