Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder with strong fabrication skills to join our team. The welder will be responsible for building the body of units using tools such as torch tools, bandsaws, and grinders. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating and maintaining basic power tools, reading blueprints, and ensuring accurate dimensions and alignment of fabricated components.

ResponsibilitiesBuild the body of units using torch tools, bandsaws, and grinders.Operate and maintain basic power tools such as grinders, drills, saws, magnet drills, band saws, and forklifts safely and efficiently.Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure accuracy.Use a T-square and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and alignment of fabricated components.Designate and facilitate projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.Identify and correct errors or inefficiencies in work processes, ensuring high-quality output.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with shop safety protocols.Collaborate with management to prioritize tasks and address any production challenges.Essential SkillsProficient in structural welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Stick.Experienced in welding various materials such as stainless steel and carbon steel.Skilled in pipe welding, including 5G and 6G positions.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.Proficient in using power tools such as angle grinders, drills, and band saws.Certified or experienced in operating forklifts for material handling.Additional Skills & QualificationsDemonstrated ability to perform TIG welding is a bonus.Proficiency with a T-square, tape measures, and other measuring tools to ensure precise fabrication.Capable of planning, organizing, and executing fabrication projects from start to finish.Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues in fabrication or workflow and implement effective solutions.Excellent time management skills to keep projects on schedule while maintaining quality standards.Clear verbal and interpersonal communication skills to coordinate with team members and report to management.Knowledge of shop safety practices and commitment to enforcing them.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a typical manufacturing garage shop, large with plenty of space to complete tasks. The shop accommodates about 6 other workers, and there will be noise from the power tools. Safety protocols are strictly enforced to ensure a safe working environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
