Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is searching for qualified candidates for a Fabrication Estimator position.  This is a 1st shift position with a pay range of $25-30/hour.  This is a Direct Hire position. 

Fabrication Estimator/Technical Sales Engineer

Shift: 8am-5pm Monday through Friday
Pay Range: $25-30/hour based on experience
Screening Process: resume submission and at least one face to face interview with the company

Job Summary
Perform sales related daily operational processes through customer/supplier relationships involving all aspects of fabrication sales in a professional manner. You will use your skills to interpret individual customer requirements by reading and understanding blue prints for the preparation of quotes and the preparation of work instructions to the shop floor for new and repeat orders. You will be responsible for effective communications between customers and the shop personnel to make sure we produce parts and assemblies to those customer prints by following company/industry standards and procedures.

Develop a working knowledge of steel (ex. grades, sizes, forms and steel manufacturing processes). Develop a diverse knowledge of steel’s reaction resulting from various manufacturing processes. Develop a diverse knowledge of customer manufacturing processes & general requirements. Understand our material handling and fabricating limits per department Quoting Quote follow-up Assist in the development of quality procedures; consult with management to make recommendations for implementation of techniques to improve effectiveness of policies or processes, as required Quote Dispositioning Material Inquiries Order Processing Keep abreast of current trends and practices through reading, classes, seminars, etc. as requiredExpedite both quotes and orders Perform other duties, shop wide, as assigned.
Qualifications Preferences  Experience in CAD-CAM drawing systems preferred. Computer Drafting using Solidworks is a plus Minimum of 3 years of fabrication--welding, press brake, rolling, stamping, saw cutting, laser sutting,  Sales experience preferred Proficient in Blueprint reading Proficient Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred 1-5years of sales experience 1-5 years steel service center experience 1-5 years steel manufacturing experience
