Fabrication Associate
**Fabricator – 2nd Shift** + **Assignment Type:** Temp-to-Hire + **Location:** Groveport, OH 45069 + **Schedule:** Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM (Mandatory OT on Fridays, 6–8 hours) **Join the Nation’s Leading Industrial Distributor!** The largest U.S. distributor of plumbing supplies, PVF, waterworks, fire and fabrication products, and a key player in HVAC and industrial solutions. We are seeking a dedicated **Fabricator** to join our team. This role is essential in building fire sprinkler systems from the ground up—cutting, fabricating, assembling, and preparing pipe for installation at job sites. **Why You’ll Love This Job:** + Hands-on role with opportunities to learn every part of the shop. + Work with cutting-edge fabrication equipment. + Be part of a team that builds essential fire suppression systems. + Temp-to-hire opportunity with career growth potential. **What You’ll Do:** **Fabrication & Machine Operation** + Operate grooving machines, saws, and universal welders as needed. + Accurately measure and cut pipe using a tape measure, band saw, or torch. + Perform threading and beveling using Landis machines. + Conduct die checks, bundling, and other fabrication tasks. **Material Handling & Assembly** + Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard. + Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintain an organized workspace. + Follow all safety procedures when cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe. **Quality Control & Safety** + Follow all standard operating procedures for pipe fabrication. + Inspect and maintain forklift equipment. + Ensure safe work practices in compliance with OSHA and Ferguson policies. **What We’re Looking For:** **Experience & Skills** + Manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred (machine operation, assembly work, etc.). + Welding school graduates or individuals currently in training are encouraged to apply. + Basic understanding of fabrication tools and processes. + Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. + Strong math skills for calculating product quantities. **Work Ethic & Teamwork** + Willingness to learn and be trained on all shop operations. + Ability to work independently and in a team. + Results-focused with strong attention to detail. + Reliable and committed to a fast-paced, hands-on environment. **Requirements:** + High school diploma or GED (must be listed on resume). + Forklift assessment required. + Background check required (no exceptions). **PPE & Dress Code:** + Safety shoes required (confirmation provided in start details). + Light industrial casual but appropriate attire. **Apply now to start your journey with PDS Tech and grow your career in this exciting, hands-on position!** **Pay Details:** $21.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
