External Locate & Mark Specialist

*** Must live within 3 hours of Arena District Office***
**Job Summary**
Track external locate contractor performance and metrics and provide feedback to external locate leadership, Supply Chain, damage prevention leadership and other internal departments as needed. Administer the system access for external locators and ensure all locators have current operator qualification status for locating. Partner with external locate company leadership to resolve process issues, and lead process improvement initiatives based on feedback from both internal and external stakeholders. Participate and support weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with external locate companies.
**Essential Functions**
+ Builds and maintains effective, cross-functional working relationships across NiSource and with external locate contract partners.
+ Tracks external locate contractor performance and metrics to reduce damages and ensure accurate locates.
+ Provides feedback on locating results or process issues to external locate contractor leadership, Supply Chain, damage prevention leadership and other internal departments.
+ Administers the system access for external locators and ensure they have the required access to Maps & Records in order to accurately locate facilities.
+ Ensures all external locators have the proper and current operator qualifications for locating per the gas standards, and the documentation is maintained.
+ Partners with external locate company leadership and internal departments including IT, GIS, and damage prevention to identify and resolve process issues.
+ Partners with and support Supply Chain and damage prevention leadership for weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with locate vendors.
+ Champions the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
+ Shares learnings from root cause investigations and after-action reviews concerning Locate Damages across internal and external locator teams
**Required Qualifications For Position**
+ Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
+ 1-3 years Relevant Work experience
+ Project management and execution skills.
+ PC software proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
+ Willing to travel as needed
+ DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State

$67,900.00 - $101,900.00
