Your Mission:
As an Exploit Developer at ClearEdge, your mission will be to design, develop, and test proof-of-concept exploits across multiple platforms in a controlled and ethical environment. By leveraging your expertise, you will help uncover emerging threats, simulate realistic scenarios, and contribute to meaningful mission capabilities. Your work will provide critical insights that bolster security efforts and enhance threat intelligence.You Will Excel In This Role If You Are:An inventive problem-solver with a talent for creating innovative cybersecurity solutions.Passionate about exploring vulnerabilities and crafting exploits to better understand threats.A detail-oriented professional who excels in precise documentation and thorough analysis.A collaborative team player who values knowledge sharing but can independently drive tasks.Dedicated to continuous learning and staying ahead of cybersecurity trends and techniques.Motivated by the challenge of solving complex problems in dynamic environments.Committed to ethical research and developing solutions with integrity and professionalism.A Day In The Life: Design and develop proof-of-concept exploits across various platforms.Research and identify new attack vectors, techniques, and methods to bypass security mechanisms.Create and refine tools to enhance malware analysis, penetration testing, and vulnerability exploitation.Simulate advanced persistent threat (APT) scenarios and other complex cyberattack strategies.Collaborate with teams to provide support for threat intelligence and vulnerability assessments.Document tradecraft, exploits, and attack patterns in comprehensive technical reports.Research and implement advanced code obfuscation techniques.Stay informed on the latest developments in malware tactics, reverse engineering, and defensive strategies.Must Have:TS/SCI with polygraph clearance10+ years of experience in software analysis, exploit development, or related cybersecurity fields.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.Proficiency in low-level programming languages (C/C++, Assembly).Strong understanding of malware techniques such as code injection, rootkits, privilege escalation, and anti-analysis tactics.Familiarity with reverse engineering tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra, etc.) and debugging techniques.Expertise in operating system internals (Windows, Linux, macOS).Experience with virtualization and sandbox environments for dynamic analysis (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox).Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical information effectively.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on diverse tasks.High attention to detail and persistence in solving complex challenges.Nice To Have: In-depth understanding of malware types (viruses, worms, ransomware, trojans) and their attack vectors.Familiarity with obfuscation and anti-reverse engineering techniques.Knowledge of networking protocols and their use in command-and-control (C2) communications.Certifications such as OSCP, GREM, CEH, or other relevant credentials.About us: We are an experienced advanced analytic development company providing Cyber solutions to current and emerging missions.
