Experienced Veterinary Technician or credentialed RVT wanted for full time position at busy two doctor practice. Practice scope includes state of the art medicine along with routine wellness care for our patients, while also performing dental and surgical procedures. Applicants should have at least one year experience and be capable of performing all the tasks associated with the job description at the time of employment. We are seeking a self-motivated person who is a team player. The applicant who attains this position will also be required to maintain a high level of professionalism when dealing with our patients and clients as exceptional care is a top priority. The applicant’s skill set should include:

Maintaining accurate medical records; including patient history and vitals

in-hospital patient care, filling prescriptions, reviewing home care instructions with caregiver/owner, and answering questions.

performing routine lab work

animal safety and restraint

venipuncture

I.V. catheter placement

radiology

dentistry

surgical prep, monitoring and assistance.

Assisting in end-of-day tasks cleaning and prepping surgical instruments, restocking supplies as needed, and prepping and cleaning of cages
