Kimley-Horn's Orlando, FL office is seeking a Substation P&C Engineer In Training with 2+ years of relevant experience to join our diverse and fast-paced organization! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities Support P&C design project deliverables, ranging from 4kV up to 500kV (with a particular emphasis on 115kV voltages and above)Produce detailed substation P&C design packages, compliant to required client and national technical standards. Core design responsibilities include:One-line diagramsThree-line diagramsPotential and current schematicsControl and Indication schematicsCommunication InterconnectionsWiring DiagramsEquipment Sizing and Specifications I/O mappingConstruction Documentation / Outage SequencingProcurement and Construction Support Qualifications 2+ years of protection & control engineering design experience in the electricity transmission & distribution sectorETAP experience is a plus Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus)EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months requiredProficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
I/O mappingConstrution documentation/outage sequencing Superior verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment Why Kimley-Horn?
