Experienced Industrial Engineer for End of Line Equipment, BATTERY PRODUCTION

The battery project consists of the series production of battery packs and VCB cabling as well as existing prototype production. We are in the middle of a phase where we train and build competence to manufacture and develop these into tomorrow's products in e-mobility.
 

Your mission

 

You will work as an Industrial Engineer for End of Line (EOL) equipment which is the Final station to ensure Quality of the Battery Module & Pack before leaving the factory.
You, as an Industrial Engineer in Battery Module Project team, will be responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out all Project related activities (Ex: PreStudy, Equipment Specification, RFQ, Procurement phase, Factory + Site acceptance test, Commissioning, Trials, SOP etc)  for the EOL equipment modification for Next Generation Battery project. 
This is the EOL equipment at High Volume Series Production line for Battery Module & Pack, therefore we expect the candidate to be highly skilled in understanding the Technical aspects of EOL equipment along with good collaboration & Project management skills. 
Here in Scania, we have ‘state of art Production facility’ & one of the very few within Europe to Mass Produce Battery Modules & Packs for Electric Trucks.
 

Your responsibilities

 

The main responsibility in this role is to collaborate with several EOL Engineer/ Specialists, Equipment suppliers, Process Engineers, other Industrial engineers, R&D team, Logistics, IT team etc and drive the EOL equipment modification project following Scania’s Project management method.
You will work with the Senior Project Manager & other Line Project Managers very closely to sync all project milestones. 
 

Exampels of other responsibilities

 

Contribute to the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures through working closely with the Quality team, EOL Engineers and R&D team.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of updates requested to supplier based on modifications introduced by EOL engineers to the testing process.
 

Who we are looking for - your profile

 

Since the person in this role will collaborate a lot with other functions, we are searching for a person who is very collaborative, agile, analytical, communicative, both in speech and in writing. 
We communicate both in English & Swedish, so good skills in English is required. Basic Swedish knowledge is required. Fluent Swedish is a plus.
You need to pay attention to details and you have strong analytical skills. Problem solving and finding solutions is something you regard as nice challenges.
 

Education

 

Higher technical education (Bachelors/ Masters degree) preferably Electrical engineering or a related field

Experience

 

•    Basic understanding of battery technologies, electrical systems
•    Understanding of the Equipment including Mechanical, Electrical drawings of the Equipment and Software.
•    Experience of Project management in a Mass production setup. 
•    Knowledge about Equipment’s working method (PLC, HMIs, Solenoid, Motor’s working principle etc).
•    Experience of Scania's PEIP process is a plus
•    Exposure to CATIA (or similar) is a plus
