Your role and responsibilities

Do you have the necessary experience with instrumentation, industrial networks and protocols to become ABB Denmark’s next Field Information Specialist? If so, this is your chance to implement cutting edge technology and influence growth of Field Information Management in the Pharma domain.You will be working for our biggest pharma client and helping them to implement FIM. The system is an innovative software that can collect data and enable configuration of all field instrumentation in one and same platform. FIM simply provides ABB customers with the best-in-class field experience.More specifically, your job will be to drive the implementation of FIM at specific production sites. Additionally, you will use your insights to create and continuously refine a best-practice model/manual for implementing FIM in production environments.To succeed in this role, you must thrive in a highly versatile position that combines both PC-based work and hands-on tasks within the manufacturing setup.Your base will be in one of our offices in Ballerup, Middelfart or Kalundborg, but you will spend much of your time at customer sites. Although you will be ABB Denmark’s first dedicated FIM Specialist, you won’t be working alone – you will collaborate with specialist colleagues with deep expertise in networks and instrumentation.Your responsibilities: •\tImplement FIM•\tDrive installation, commissioning, configuration, troubleshooting, and handover.•\tGather an overview of all field devices and instrumentation at specific sites.•\tProvide support to customers and operational personnel, including training.•\tContribute to problem-solving, including commissioning assistance.•\tPrepare documentation and guidelines.•\tUse your insights to create and continuously develop a new ABB Ability implementation manual.

Qualifications for the role

\tExperience with on-site commissioning and system startup.\tAptitude for working with systems on a platform.\tStrong experience with instrumentation and industrial networks and protocols.\tKnowledge of HART, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, FOUNDATION Fieldbus, Modbus, Ethernet, and WirelessHART.\tAbility to work independently and find solutions – the role is new, and you will be responsible for addressing emerging challenges.\tStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across the client’s organization and within ABB.\tMotivation to work in an international organization and meet high-end documentation requirements.
