Overview Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Expeditor will provide safe, reliable, efficient, and prompt transportation of laundry wash, dry, fold, iron, and pack laundered material for customers. The Expeditor will also maintain the cleanliness of the laundry facility and equipment. *This is a Temporary Part-Time position* Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Receives, inspects, sorts and documents all outgoing and incoming laundry thoroughly Maintain time schedules and maintain driver’s log book Perform pre-trip inspections on the delivery trucks to include checking all fluid levels and adding fuel regularly and keep the interior of the vehicles, including windows, clean Contact suppliers, procure supplies, pick-up and deliver supplies Review invoices and packing slips to verify that orders are complete Assist in resolving receiving and invoice discrepancies and return damages supplies when necessary Perform other related duties as assigned Checks lint screens for lint and cleans lint filters as necessary to maintain the efficiency of the dryers Utilize disposable gloves and adhere to all company guidelines while working in the laundry area Maintains cleanliness of facility Immediately reports any equipment malfunctions to management Reports for duty punctually wearing the company uniform Operates company vehicle picking up and delivering customer laundry Other duties as assigned DOYON LIMITED CORE COMPETENCIES: Commitment to Excellence – Identifies what needs to be done and takes action to achieve a standard of excellence beyond job expectations. SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 1 year expediting experience Minimum age 25 years High school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests Must have a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Alaska Must be able to lift 50lbs. of laundry Must be able to access Eielson Airforce base Must be able to obtain DOT medical card PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience with general knowledge of cleaning chemicals WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas, require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. For the most part ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
