Role Summary
Do you enjoy inspirational history and creating memorable experiences? If so, the Exhibit Attendant and Tour Guide position at the National Medal of Honor Museum could be for you! We are seeking highly motivated and collaborative professionals to join our growing team and be a part of our mission to inspire American through the stories and values of the Medal of Honor.
In this role, you will serve as an ambassador for the museum, providing engaging, educational, and interactive experiences for visitors of all ages throughout the exhibit area. This role involves interacting with guests of the Museum and facilitating group or special event guided tours as needed to ensure a welcoming environment for all guests.
Pay and Benefits:
Hourly pay range: $16-16.50/hr Part-time and full-time positions available Full-time benefits include a generous benefits package; medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, parental leave, wellness program, and 401k plan.
Essential Functions
Engage guests on the Museum exhibit deck, share the stories of the Medal of Honor and its Recipients and answer questions about the Museum and artifacts. Conduct guided tours of the museum’s exhibitions, highlighting key themes, historical contexts, and artifacts. Adapt tour content and delivery to suit the interests and needs of diverse audiences, including school groups, families, and adult visitors. Facilitate visitor engagement through storytelling and interactive conversations Provide exceptional guest service, addressing visitor inquiries about exhibits, programs, and museum policies. Represent the museum positively and professionally Promote museum memberships, upcoming events, and educational opportunities. All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in education, museum studies, history, or related field. Experience working or volunteering in a museum environment as a docent, gallery attendant, or tour guide. Experience teaching and working with middle school, high school, college, or community-based programs. Bilingual (Spanish speaking) a plus.

Comfortable working with diverse audiences, families, and students Ability to speak, read, and understand verbal instructions in English Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
