Our Financial Lines team is currently looking for an Executive Underwriter based in our Toronto office. This is a hybrid role.

The Impact You Will Have
Underwrite profitable new and renewal business to meet Line of Business (Lob) targets in accordance with guidelines and underwriting authority; Negotiate price, terms and conditions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with producers and clients in partnership with Market Management; Develop and maintain strong relationships with Canada Lob leaders and underwriters to cross-sell and cross-market as a team. Collaborate with global leaders to monitor, support and govern all aspects of the Canada Cyber MGA partner and other MGA's partners in Canada within the Financial Lines product line.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Contribute to the execution of the regional Underwriting strategy for the LoB in Canada Monitor, support, govern and collaborate on all aspects of the Canada Cyber MGA partner and other MGA's partners in Canada within the Financial Lines product line Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets Negotiate price and terms and conditions with producers. Proactively manage capacity Collaborate with global leaders to monitor, support and govern all aspects of the Canada Cyber MGA partner and other MGA's partners in Canada within the Financial Lines product line Positively represent Allianz Commercial externally to the Canadian market Collaborate with regional and global product experts and leaders and with other functional areas including ARC, Claims, Operations etc Develop and maintain strong relationships with key producers and clients and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. Risk Managers) Proactively support completion of policy administration and credit control processes Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and producer negotiations where necessary)What You’ll Bring to the Role
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably degree in Economics, Finance, Insurance Mgmt, or Business Administration 5-7 years experience in proven track record in Underwriting profitable business in D&O and Cyber 5-7 years experience in depth understanding of LoB(s) products and portfolio 5-7 years experience in depth understanding of local LoB (s) insurance markets and competitor landscape 5-7 years experience in demonstrable, established relationships with brokers at peer group level and well established within local marketThe annualized base pay range for this role is $119573 - $186155. The annual base salary range represents nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
