As an Executive Steward, you will play a crucial role in the operational success of our Food & Beverage Department. You will oversee the day-to-day management of the kitchen utility team, ensuring seamless operations, compliance with safety standards, and fostering a collaborative environment. Your leadership will ensure that our guests and associates enjoy the highest standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management: Oversee dish room operations and provide hands-on guidance to utility associates, including training on sanitation, equipment handling, and chemical usage, while ensuring compliance with Food & Beverage policies and standards. Sanitation & Safety Compliance: Enforce food handling and sanitation regulations, maintain a hygienic dining environment, and uphold Marriott’s safety standards to ensure a secure workplace for all associates. Inventory & Equipment Oversight: Manage inventory of china, glass, silver, and service items; inspect, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of dish room and food holding equipment. Banquet & Service Support: Collaborate with Banquet Chef and Maître d’ to execute banquet plating and food running; oversee breakdown and cleaning processes for banquets, restaurants, and cafeterias to maintain seamless operations. Operational Efficiency: Strategically review staffing levels, workflows, and budgetary controls to optimize operations while meeting financial objectives and maintaining service quality. Guest & Associate Engagement: Foster a culture of excellence by empowering associates to deliver exceptional customer service, addressing guest feedback promptly, and cultivating continuous improvement through team meetings and recognition of achievements.

Education & Experience

Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree or Culinary Education preferred. Certifications: As required by local and state regulations.
