JOB DESCRIPTION

The Executive Producer (EP) is responsible for setting the overall creative and strategic vision of the podcast. This includes defining the tone, editorial direction, and audience focus in alignment with both the host's voice and the network’s brand. The EP leads the production team in shaping each episode's content, ensuring quality control and consistency across all releases.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and maintain the podcast’s editorial strategy and creative direction

Approve content themes, guest lineup strategy, and show outlines

Collaborate with the host to refine storytelling, tone, and delivery

Supervise the production process, from pre-production through post

Coordinate with marketing and digital teams on promotional efforts

Provide final approval on edits, publishing, and overall presentation

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

10+ years in news/opinion media with audio/podcast focus.

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Deep understanding of news, politics, and current affairs.

Strong editorial judgment

Experience with on-air talent.

Excellent communication and project management skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Passion for insightful opinion content.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $130,000.00-150,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
