Summary
The Executive Public Relations & Strategic Communications Manager is responsible for supporting our CEO/President in public relations, event coordination, media engagement, and strategic communication efforts. Serve as a key representative and spokesperson for the organization, ensuring the executive’s public image aligns with corporate objectives while maintaining high-level relationships in the power and robotics industries.
Primary Duties
Public Relations & Media Management
Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy to enhance the CEO’s visibility and the company’s reputation. Act as a spokesperson and MC at events, conferences, and public engagements. Secure and coordinate media appearances, including interviews, podcasts, and press conferences. Draft press releases, op-eds, keynote speeches, and social media content on behalf of the CEO. Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers.Event Planning & Executive Representation
Organize and manage high-profile events, industry conferences, and political engagements for the CEO. Oversee logistics for speaking engagements, panel discussions, and corporate presentations. Coordinate VIP meetings, networking events, and executive summits to strengthen partnerships. Ensure a polished and professional public presence for the CEO at all engagements.Social Media & Digital Strategy
Develop and oversee the CEO’s personal branding strategy across social media platforms. Create engaging content that aligns with industry trends in power and robotics. Monitor and analyze engagement metrics to optimize digital presence.Market & Industry Networking
Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with top executives, policymakers, and industry leaders. Stay informed on emerging trends in technology, robotics, and energy markets to position the CEO as a thought leader. Represent the organization in high-level industry discussions and networking functions.Marketing & Communications Strategy
Work closely with the marketing team to align PR initiatives with corporate branding and business objectives. Develop compelling storytelling and messaging for the CEO’s public appearances. Ensure consistency in branding across publications, media, and digital content. Networking and Government relations and engagement with various agencies as needed. Work with various workplace organizations for recognition and awards to raise the NAES profile overall.Working Relationships
This person will report to the SVP, CHRO/President, Renewables; however, the majority of the support will be for NAES’ President & CEO.
Compensation
The initial compensation will range from $114,000 - $131,000
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Seven+ years of experience in public relations, executive communications, or event management.Specific Skills and Knowledge
Strong understanding of technology, power, and robotics industries. Exceptional public speaking and MC skills with experience hosting events. Established network of media contacts and industry professionals. Proven experience managing high-profile public figures and executives. Strong command of digital marketing, social media strategy, and branding. Ability to handle high-pressure environments with professionalism and discretion. Polished and professional presence with executive-level communication skills. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills. Tech-savvy with experience using social media, content management systems, and analytics tools. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
This position will work regularly on a laptop, travel may be required per business needs.
