Location: King of Prussia Area. Must be able to come into the office at least a few times per month.

Duration: 3-5+ year contract

The Executive Director of IT - ERP Implementations will spearhead the strategic direction and successful deployment of ERP systems within the organization, with a particular focus on logistics and distribution operations. This leadership role requires expertise in both technology and supply chain management, ensuring that ERP solutions optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and drive business growth across distribution channels. The individual will manage relationships with key stakeholders, external vendors, and oversee the integration of ERP systems to align with the organization's logistics and distribution strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

ERP Strategy and Roadmap Development:

Develop and execute the strategic direction for the ERP system implementation, focusing on logistics, supply chain, and distribution.Create a long-term ERP roadmap aligned with business goals, ensuring scalability and integration with logistics and distribution processes.Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure ERP initiatives are aligned with organizational objectives, driving innovation and operational improvements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Buy-In:

Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, logistics, distribution, and other departments, to gain support for ERP initiatives.Drive discussions and decisions regarding ERP capabilities, benefits, and impacts, ensuring alignment between IT and logistics/distribution business units.Provide regular, transparent communication to stakeholders regarding project progress, expectations, and outcomes.Lead executive-level briefings and strategic planning sessions to ensure the ERP system meets the evolving needs of the business.

Vendor Management & Partnerships:

Oversee vendor relationships to ensure that they meet project timelines, service level agreements (SLAs), and quality expectations.Negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance, ensuring value maximization and risk mitigation.Ensure the ERP system integrates effectively with third-party logistics providers and other external systems.

Logistics & Distribution Focused Implementation:

Oversee the deployment of ERP solutions tailored to logistics, supply chain, and distribution functions, ensuring system design is aligned with business needs.Work closely with logistics and distribution teams to understand pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization through ERP.Lead cross-functional teams in system configuration, customization, and integration, ensuring that processes such as inventory management, order fulfillment, transportation, and warehouse management are optimized.Guide the team in setting up ERP functionalities that drive efficiencies, reduce lead times, and streamline distribution processes.

Project Leadership & Implementation:

Lead end-to-end ERP implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with business requirements.Develop and manage detailed project plans, identifying key milestones and ensuring the proper allocation of resources.Monitor the progress of implementation teams, resolving any issues or roadblocks that arise.Ensure comprehensive testing, training, and user adoption plans are executed before the system is fully deployed.

Change Management & Adoption:

Lead change management efforts to ensure a smooth transition to the new ERP system, with a focus on logistics and distribution processes.Create and execute training programs, documentation, and user guides tailored to logistics and distribution teams.Support end-users during the adoption phase, identifying challenges and providing solutions to ensure high user adoption and minimal disruption.Foster a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring ERP solutions evolve to meet changing business needs.

Qualifications:

Experience:Minimum of 5 years of IT leadership experience with a focus on ERP implementations, including significant experience in logistics, supply chain, or distribution environments.Proven track record of successful ERP system implementations within a logistics, distribution, or supply chain-focused organization.Experience managing ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms, particularly in the context of logistics and distribution operations.Skills:Strong understanding of logistics, warehouse management, inventory control, transportation management, and supply chain operations.Excellent project management skills with expertise in delivering complex ERP systems on time and within budget.Effective stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and senior leadership.Strong vendor management, negotiation, and contract management skills.Proficient in change management practices to drive successful system adoption.Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
