Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a client on the lookout for an Executive Director Projects Finance to be based out of their office in Abu Dhabi.

Purpose -

Manage the planning, control and coordination of all activities related to monitoring, cash flow, reporting and control for their projects and capital expenditures to ensure the adherence and compliance with their approved financial policies and procedures in addition to current regulations.

Responsibility -

Assist the CFO in the development of the long term financial plans for the Boards approval, ensuring business plans are in line with the strategic business direction and financial objectives to meet the present and future business needs and objectives; Ensure the development and implementation of the financial and accounting policies, procedures, standards and guidelines in adherence and alignment with guidelines and timelines; Review approved P&P and DOA that relates to projects and capital expenditures and support the CFO to propose any updates that will ease the workflow without affecting the controls in place; assist with seeking the required approvals from management and Board of Directors to revise P&P/DOA; Review and sign all project related payments to ensure sufficient supporting and budget allocation in line with approved budget and DOA; Attend and participate in the subsidiaries and Corporate departments business planning and KPIs preparation and quarterly update meetings and provide feedback to CFO and Head of Strategic planning; Participate in the review of the subsidiaries budgets for projects and capital expenditures (initial and final) and review projects and capital expenditures consolidated budget and consolidated (CAPEX & OPEX) and communicate feedbacks to subsidiaries finance team and the CFO; Participate and provide continues support to the CFO in the organization initiatives, provide feedback and manage the business continuity program in co-ordination with the business continuity steering committee and risk department; Identify major projects financial risks relating to controls and communicate them to the related Departments, management and suggest solutions where applicable; Manage projects and capital expenditures accounting and reporting by ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payables, receivables, fixed assets, payroll processing, and all ledger functions; Oversee the co-ordination of all internal payments for the projects by monitoring cash flow to enable accurate communication of funding requirements to the CFO.

Skills

10 + years of experience in the fields of accounting and/or financial management. Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognized university. Relevant Professional certification: CPA, CA, CMA, MBA. Understanding of financial audits, budgeting, financial statements, financial modelling, etc. Knowledge of financial management systems processes and controls. Knowledge of IFRS accounting practices and principles. Proficiency in Arabic and English
