Executive Director of Sports Medicine Operations Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $53.46 - $99.28 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week. *This is a salaried/exempt position. Boulder Community Health (BCH), University of Colorado School of Medicine (CU SOM) and University Physicians, Inc. (UPI) are working together to jointly develop a high-performance sports medicine center that will provide people across the Front Range with unprecedented access to world class sports medicine and performance improvement services. The CU Sports Medicine and Performance Center (“Center”) is a hybrid organization with a community hospital, academic research center, school of medicine and a commercial business operation located on the University of Colorado, Boulder Campus’s athletic complex. The Executive Director of Sports Medicine Operations (“Executive Director”) assumes responsibility for all administrative and fiscal operations. The ED will be responsible for establishing and growing the reputation of the Center as world-class sports medicine facility. The Executive Director will provide leadership to the Center’s operations as it moves from its early stage of vision, inspiration, and innovation to a more mature phase of building, growing, and sustainability. The ED of Operations is responsible for managing all operational aspects of the Center to ensure the financial, operations, marketing, human resource, technology and programmatic strategies are effectively implemented across all the organization and with key strategic partners. The ED of Operations will collaborate with the Governance Committee of the Center and all clinical and operational committees of the Center, to include all Director and Medical Director position’s of the Center, to review, revise and implement the strategic plan while ensuring that the budget, staff and priorities are aligned with the Center’s core mission. Responsibilities •Realize the vision of launching a world-class sports medicine center with a focus on national and international exposure. •Strengthen the infrastructure and operations of the Center to ensure the delivery of high-quality services while managing for current and future growth. •Ongoing evaluation of the department’s programs and services to enable the Center to achieve its short, medium and long-term goals and objectives. •Provide inspirational leadership to executives and staff. Oversee recruiting/staffing, directing, coordinating, training, supervising and promoting of qualified personnel. •Motivate, support and lead a high performing management team by attracting, recruiting, appointing, and retaining key leaders. Establish management development programs as needed throughout the organization. •Create and promote a positive work environment and high performing culture that align with the organization’s strategy, operations, and aspirations as an innovative leader in the field of health and wellness. •Work with the management team to define, establish and implement an effective process and structure for knowledge transfer, vetting new ideas and opportunities, prioritizing projects, and securing adequate resources and funding to effectively implement priorities.
