The Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships Strategy Center of Excellence (COE) generates enterprise value through developing, driving innovation, and overseeing benefits for Chase customers from our strategic merchant partners. Working closely with teams across Consumer & Community Banking, the team owns a centralized pipeline of partner benefits to support both branded and co-branded credit cards. The partnerships deliver meaningful value and experiences to our customers, enrich the benefit to our merchant partners, and benefit Chase through scalable benefits delivered through our platform.
As a Executive Director Benefits Strategy of the Strategic Partnerships COE, you will champion the strategy and roadmap development for the team. You will build a cohesive partner framework to grow and deepen our relationships with large scale commercial partners and develop a concise roadmap of product capabilities for delivering merchant value. This will involve deep partnership with the branded and co-branded card teams to understand the outlook of card portfolios and development of customer insights on benefits that will resonate with consumers and bolster our products. Additionally, you will provide require insight in to industries and merchant partners to identify top prospect partnerships, and the strategy around benefits to unlock value for both companies.
Job responsibilities:
• Support development of Chase Branded and Co-Branded Cards’ multi-year Partnership Roadmap, specifically focused on creation of a roadmap of partner benefits for card products.
• Create a repeatable framework for continuously managing the partnership pipeline supporting product refreshes and launches across Chase Branded Cards
• Help identify strategic industries and partner opportunities to support branded and co-branded products that unlock merchant funded value for customers
• Develop roadmap of opportunities for top partners to deepen strategic relationship, drive value to both Chase and the partner, and enrich the product proposition and offerings for our mutual customers
• Identify product, technology, and other efficiencies through the creation of scalable partner solutions that enable higher velocity benefit enhancement at lower cost and infrastructural burden
• Identify bottlenecks and executional challenges impacting the partnership roadmap (for example, capability gaps, cross-functional readiness, or organizational challenges) and support driving them to resolution.
• Build strong relationships across the Chase Branded Card product teams, business partners (Finance, Compliance, Legal, Risk), and cross functional teams (Product, Tech, Connected Commerce).
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
• 10+ years of strategy and/ or commercial experience in credit cards, financial services, or similar industries
• Proactive, flexible, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with ambiguity and white space. Extremely collaborative and able to work across leadership levels, teams, functions and situations.
• Detail oriented and execution focused, with a proven ability to deliver results in a complex, highly matrixed environment without direct control of resources. Not afraid to roll up sleeves and get into the details to get the job done.
• Strategic: ability to see the big picture and understand the holistic Product Roadmap and how its moving pieces fit together.
• Customer focus: service-oriented, with an eye toward both external (Card members) and internal (Card product leaders) customers. Identifies customer needs and focuses on meeting those needs effectively.
• Analytical: can identify issues, structure the problem clearly, identify and get the data needed to make a decision, frame the decision, identify key stakeholders and develop buy-in, make recommendations, articulate trade-offs and drive to resolution.
• Product: experience developing or leading products, preferably financial products or capabilities in complex environment with multiple releases and inter-dependencies.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
• Experience in Go-to-Market, product development, product leadership, strategy consulting, corporate development or similar roles preferred.
• MBA or equivalent preferred
