What You'll Do

As our Global IT Executive Director, Enterprise and Platform Architecture, you will lead the design and evolution of a scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient architecture that fuels
business growth and innovation at BCG. You will play a critical role in aligning IT and data strategy with business objectives, ensuring our technology infrastructure is optimized for
performance, security, and cost efficiency while enabling rapid development and seamless scalability.
You will be a key member of our IT Leadership Team and work closely with your peers to deliver on our Digital Strategy, accelerating our ability to deliver meaningful and innovative outcomes to BCG.
Serving as the primary enterprise architecture leader, you will unify efforts across IT architecture, enterprise data, network, infrastructure, GenAI, SDKs, and Developer
Experience to foster a cohesive technology vision that balances innovation with operational excellence.
You will establish governance frameworks that reinforce security, financial accountability, and cost optimization, while driving best practices in automation, engineering, and operational excellence. Your leadership will bridge technology and business strategy, ensuring IT architecture evolves to support growth, enhance developer productivity, and maximize infrastructure investments. By integrating modern technologies and scalable architectures, you will empower teams to navigate complexity with agility and purpose—building a resilient, high-performance foundation that accelerates innovation and drives business success.


Among your responsibilities, you will:

Define and Lead the IT Architecture and Data Strategy
Articulate a clear, forward-looking vision for architecture and data, aligning capabilities with BCG’s strategic goals.Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture Senior Directors to ensure alignment of IT architecture across all layers.Champion architectural principles and best practices to ensure interoperability, compliance, and operational resilience, with a focus on Secure Trust, reliability, and
FinOps.Identify and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., AI-driven observability, zero-trust architectures) that enhance BCG’s enterprise capabilities.Drive leading the 70 IT resources associated with the Data Product Portfolio, with direct line management of the Data Portfolio Technical Area Lead Senior Director.Drive Cross-Layer Collaboration and Governance
Establish governance frameworks to ensure alignment and standardization across all IT architecture layers, incorporating input from Enterprise Architecture COE.Promote collaboration between layers to streamline workflows, reduce silos, and deliver consistent value to end users.Lead platform-wide initiatives that advance security, reliability, and financial efficiency (e.g., proactive cost optimization, robust monitoring systems, incident response improvements).Ensure adherence to Secure Trust principles, including rigorous authentication, authorization, and secrets management protocols.Deliver Business Value and ResultsTranslate business goals into architectural outcomes by driving improvements in scalability, reliability, and security while managing costs.Oversee the delivery of cross-layer initiatives, ensuring interdependencies are effectively managed and objectives are met on time.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) (e.g., uptime, cost efficiency, security compliance) to measure performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Optimize financial operations (FinOps) by implementing proactive cost monitoring and efficiency measures, ensuring sustainable investments in technology.Engage and Manage Stakeholders Across BCG
Proactively engage with senior stakeholders across BCGX, Core, and the broader organization, ensuring alignment of IT architecture priorities with business needs.Collaborate closely with BCG’s C-Suite, including CIO, CFO, and MDPs, to align enterprise IT strategy with business objectives and communicate progress effectively.Act as the key advocate for IT architecture and data strategy, fostering trust and alignment with stakeholders at all levels, from executive leadership to operational teams.Cultivate partnerships with external vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring alignment with IT architecture standards for quality, security, and performance.Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities, ensuring the WWIT Technology team stays at the forefront of industry trends and practices.Enhance Security, Reliability, and Operational Excellence
Champion security as a foundational pillar, ensuring every layer adheres to Secure Trust principles, including zero-trust networking, data encryption, and robust incident response protocols.Lead initiatives to improve reliability, such as implementing advanced observability tools (e.g., AI-driven monitoring, predictive analytics) and enhancing disaster recovery plans.Embed operational excellence into enterprise architecture through automation, proactive capacity planning, and adherence to industry best practices (e.g., Well-Architected Framework).Optimize Product Lifecycle Management
Continuously analyze performance metrics and user feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.Partner with Information Security and Risk Management teams to conduct regular evaluations and ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

What You'll Bring

15+ years of technical experience, including 5+ years in a strategic leadership role managing enterprise IT architecture.Expertise in modern engineering domains, including security, reliability, FinOps,and cloud infrastructure.Proven success in leading cross-layer initiatives, particularly those focused onenhancing operational excellence and cost optimization.Familiarity with governance frameworks, zero-trust principles, and DevOpsmethodologies.Commitment to continuous learning, staying ahead of technology trends.
