Executive Communications Manager – Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft’s Productivity and Collaboration Copilot business encompasses the full suite of Microsoft 365 Core Apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, etc.), collaborative apps (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), as well as Planner, Visio, and Viva. These tools empower people and organizations to achieve more through seamless productivity and collaboration experiences. We are seeking an Executive Communications Manager – Microsoft 365 Copilot to support the Corporate Vice President of Microsoft 365 by crafting and delivering impactful messaging that drives awareness, engagement, and thought leadership. This role is pivotal in shaping the leader’s voice, amplifying the value of our offerings, and positioning Microsoft as a leader in AI-powered productivity and collaboration solutions. In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day. **Responsibilities** + **Develop and Execute Communication Strategies:** Create and implement comprehensive communication plans aligned with the business objectives and strategic priorities of the Productivity and Collaboration Copilot organization. + **Content Creation and Management:** Write, edit, and produce high-quality, engaging content for various platforms, including executive presentations, keynote speeches, blogs, newsletters, social media, webinars, and events. Maintain and manage an editorial calendar for executive communications, ensuring timely delivery of content and alignment with business milestones. + **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with teams across marketing, PR, engineering, design, and research to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels. + **Executive Messaging and Coaching:** Craft key messages and prepare the Corporate Vice President for high-profile engagements, including internal all-hands meetings, customer events, industry conferences, and media opportunities. + **Impact Measurement:** Define success metrics and analyze the effectiveness of communication initiatives, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. + **Trend and Competitive Analysis:** Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging best practices to inform and refine communication strategies. + **Other:** Embody our culture (https://careers.microsoft.com/v2/global/en/culture) and values (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about) **Qualifications** **Required/Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field AND 4+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience + OR equivalent experience. **Additional or Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience + OR equivalent experience. + 4+ years experience supporting senior executives in an executive communications role. + 3+ years experience working with social media platforms. + 5+ years of experience in executive or corporate communications, preferably in a fast-paced, global organization. + Proven writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with attention to detail and a flair for translating complex ideas into accessible narratives + Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. + Proven ability to influence and build trust across all levels of an organization. + Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. + Curiosity and passion for AI, productivity technology, and innovation. + Creative thinker who thrives in ambiguity and adapts quickly to shifting priorities. + Collaborative team player with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. + Enthusiastic about Microsoft’s mission and excited to amplify the impact of its products in customers’ lives. + You will be expected to provide a writing sample in the interview process. Communications IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
