Nourish is looking for an Executive Chef - Commissary to lead our culinary team in Santa Clara, California.
We are looking for someone who pushes the boundaries and can think outside the box and can adapt to an ever-changing culture and client base, gets excitement out of a challenge, while at the same time can coach and mentor a team to work together for one goal – creating amazing food from the highest quality ingredients to refresh energize and inspire our guests.
The Executive Chef Commissary will lead the commissary kitchen including the execution of the daily production, food cost management, training of culinary staff and overseeing the food safety program with a focus on excellent food. Our ideal candidate will be innovative, keeping services fresh and updated based on current trends.
We are looking for candidates who will:
Manage daily food production that includes production planning, preparation, and food safety controlsEnsure that Culinary Standards are maintained, which includes recipe compliance, food quality and food safetyBe hands on in the kitchen this position could start at 4:30amOversee ordering and inventory managementSupport the training and development of the culinary staffHave oversight of day-to-day operations, ensuring flow of production, food, staff, and safety

Has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaborativelyHas ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer serviceCan demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications & RequirementsBasic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
