EXECUTIVE CHEF OPPORTUNITY Are you a passionate and dynamic culinary leader ready to take on an exciting new challenge? We are seeking an Executive Chef to oversee kitchen operations, drive innovation, and maintain the highest culinary standards in a luxury hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities: ✅ Lead and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff
✅ Develop and execute creative, high-quality menus
✅ Ensure consistency and excellence in food presentation and taste
✅ Manage kitchen operations, stock control, and cost efficiency
✅ Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and health standards
✅ Stay ahead of industry trends and introduce fresh, innovative ideas
✅ Collaborate with management to enhance customer experience
Requirements: SA LOCAL CITIZEN WITH A DIPLOMA IN CULINARY ART * Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in an upmarket environment
* Proven experience in a kitchen position, ideally within a hotel environment
* Strong understanding of banqueting operations
* Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to adapt to changing environments
* Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach
* Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
* Strong communication and listening skills, with excellent speaking, reading, and writing abilities
* Outstanding analytical and strategic skills for improving the business from a financial perspective
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* An open, positive, and communicative personality
* Ability to handle multiple challenging priorities and assignments
Additional Skills & Experience: ✔ Inventory management and staff scheduling
✔ Menu development and food costing
✔ Culinary degree or formal training
✔ Strong HACCP experience and knowledge of food safety & kitchen safety
✔ Expertise in safe food handling procedures
