WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:  You’ll provide administrative and operational support to executive leadership (3 Vice Presidents) within Humanitarian Services (HS) Digital Product Management and Disaster Cycle Services. In addition to the day-to-day executive admin support, you'll manage a range of business operations activities such as meeting and event planning; team engagement and recognition; and HR and finance administration. Demonstrating these professional qualities will make you successful in this role:

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD: 

Manage calendars, travel, expense, and procurement for 3 Vice Presidents

Event and meeting planning and delivery for leadership meetings, large workforce conferences, teambuilding events; and interactive workshops. Both in-person, virtual, and hybrid.

Manage and track business operations and administrative activities such performance management, learning and development plans, recruiting and onboarding checklists, internal documentation and intranet content administration, etc.

Preparing internal communication content for executive and workforce presentations

Develop and maintain internal administrative documentation.

•             Standard Schedule: The work location for this position is hybrid remote but within commuting distance to our Washington, DC National Headquarters (NHQ) campus at American Red Cross Square. There are frequent meetings and events you’ll plan and coordinate at NHQ. All three VPs you support are based in the DC Metro area.  Approximately 70% work from home and 20% work from the office for special meetings and events. There is occasional 10% travel for in-person events in other locations across the US or if deploying to a relief operation.

•           Pay Information: The salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000. 

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in business administration, finance, operations, communications or related areas.*Experience - Minimum of 5 years of professional work experienceRequired:-At least 2 years of experience as an executive assistant providing administrative support to a Vice President or similar level.-Demonstrated proficiency with event and meeting planning and delivery-Demonstrated proficiency with MS Outlook / Exchange, MS Teams, Sharepoint, and in-room audio visual technology and equipment for meetings-Demonstrated proficiency with business writing for executive presentations and internal documentation-Demonstrated proficiency with organizing, managing, and tracking work tasksravel:May travel and participate in meetings and conferences.

* Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted)

The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
