Nelnet’s Executive Assistant provides superior support to senior executives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. This position is entrusted with confidential, time sensitive information and is expected to promote the corporate image and embrace Nelnet’s core values. The Executive Assistant will play a critical role in governance support, board meeting preparation and executive coordination.

**This role requires in-office work five days a week to ensure seamless executive support, effective communication, and collaboration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Act as the primary point of contact for executive-level support, ensuring seamless coordination across all members of the Executive Team.

Own the preparation and execution of Board of Directors meetings, including scheduling, travel logistics, agenda setting, event planning, and assembling board materials (both hard copies and digital portal management).

Maintain governance-related records and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

Support the Executive Team in managing significant meetings and engagements, including coordinating schedules and preparing briefing materials.

Arrange complex travel itineraries and accommodations for executives and guests, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Handle expense reporting for executives with accuracy and timeliness.

Assist with corporate governance responsibilities, including maintaining official documents and records.

Serve as a liaison with business leaders, community stakeholders, and key partners.

Maintain and oversee the scheduling and use of Nelnet’s corporate suites at local venues.

Manage special projects as assigned to support company and department goals.

EDUCATION:

Associate's degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:

5 to 8 years of experience in supporting executive or senior leaders.

Previous experience supporting corporate board governance.

Compensation range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.
