Excavator Operator - Experienced

A reputable local trucking and excavating company is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join their team. This position plays a key role in site development projects, including residential and light commercial work. Essential Functions and Duties: Operate excavators to perform tasks such as trenching, digging, grading, and backfilling Read and interpret site plans, utility markings, and grade stakes Work efficiently and safely around underground utilities and structures Load trucks with material and assist with on-site material management Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues Collaborate with foremen, laborers, and truck drivers to complete jobs on schedule Adhere to safety regulations and company protocols at all times
Qualifications: Proven experience operating excavators on construction or excavation sites Familiarity with various types of soil, terrain, and job site conditions Strong attention to detail and situational awareness Valid driver's license required OSHA or other safety training certifications are a plus
