Events Coordinator

THE ROLE

The Event Coordinator will assist the Event Programming Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing private and public events at The Rock at La Cantera. This role involves overseeing day of event operations, supporting sales and programming processes, collaborating with internal teams and vendors, and ensuring exceptional client experiences. Responsibilities include managing event logistics, conducting client site visits, maintaining strong client and partner relationships, and contributing to the success of diverse event programming, such as concerts, festivals, and community initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for delivering memorable and high-quality events.

THE ROCK AT LA CANTERA

Partnered with the NBA San Antonio Spurs, The Rock at La Cantera is a 50-acre development which includes the Victory Capital Performance Center, Frost Plaza outdoor event space, and the Roca and Martillo Restaurant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate and lead day of event operations, including setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring seamless experiences for clients and guests. Support the event sales and programming process by preparing proposals, contracts, and promotional materials, as well as managing billing and payment processes. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors, including Operations, Food & Beverage, and Entertainment, to deliver high-quality and memorable events. Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing customer service inquiries and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the event planning and execution process. Conduct site visits and walkthroughs with prospective clients to showcase event spaces and capabilities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and community partners, supporting The Rock's reputation as a premier event destination. Support the development and execution of event programming.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred. Experience in event coordination and a commitment to exceptional client service. Proficiency in workplace systems and technologies is required. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team. Skilled in balancing client expectations with internal goals and operational constraints. Highly adaptable and comfortable navigating the dynamic environment of a high-profile event venue. Public speaking experience is highly preferred, with the ability to confidently address clients, partners, and audiences as needed. Audio-visual experience, including familiarity with AV equipment and setups, is a bonus. A passion for delivering exceptional experiences and building a career in Events and Entertainment is paramount.

 

COMPENSATION

$22/hour + generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) plan.
