Work you’ll do
Lead the strategy and activation of sponsorship hospitality experiences, including pioneering innovative and creative concepts for large-scale events. You’ll develop experiences in partnership with the Sponsorship Marketing team, Sponsorship Operations (SpOps) team, Meeting & Event Services (MES) team, Deloitte Tickets (DTickets) team, and Client Relationship Development (CRD) team. Experience in managing hospitality for major events, such as large-scale sports events or equivalent, is essential.
Hospitality activation management
Create world class experiences and strategic client hosting opportunities around our marquee sponsorshipsAct as a strategic thought leader, working with properties and internal departments to maximize sponsorship assets, extend brand storytelling, and ensure return on investmentOversee project budgets, providing regular updates to leaders on budget/spend statusReview contractual inventory, and assess to make recommendations on utilization and acquisitionsRecommend market pricingDevelop and update client journey playbook on a yearly basis, post-eventDevelop and update US Sponsorship Marquee Hospitality playbook and best practices that can be shared with local markets, update going into each event, as neededServe as the lead liaison to location markets to govern all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and coordination across hospitality activation (swim lanes for team members, local market, MES, etc.)Lead client journey mapping and KPI tracking
Lead and manage client experience mapping from first touch through to account resolution and project recapsManage the relationship with Meeting & Event Services (MES) team and oversee hospitality activation touchpoints, especially around ‘surprise and delight’ moments for both external and internal stakeholdersDefine strategic approach and ‘sell in’ process for internal stakeholders to maximize the value of the sponsorship opportunity, based on business objectivesKey input into guest communications, which is led by the Client Relationship Development (CRD) teamEvent experience, strategy, and design
Working with our sponsorship properties, this role has primary accountability with delegation to the Sponsorship Operations (SpOps) team and Meeting & Event Services (MES) team as it relates to the following:
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.10+ years of experience in planning and executing global or national hospitality experiences, to include experience in managing hospitality for major, large-scale sports events (or equivalent)10+ years of experience in delivering complex hospitality programs with multiple vendors and stakeholders and coalescing multiple priorities5+ years of experience collaborating and partnering with executive leadershipAbility to work in a virtual environmentLimited immigration sponsorship may be availableAbility to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you servePreferred
Prior experience delivering global multi-site hospitality programs, such as OlympicsExperience with golf and tennis corporate hospitality eventsExperience in managing a team within a matrix organizationExcellent attention to detail with strong writing, deck development and communication skillsHigh level of comfort with ambiguity and fluid priorities; ability to manage multiple and complex threads of workThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000 to $171,300.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
