Job Title: Event and Venue Manager
Job Description

The Event and Venue Manager is the primary lead for programs and events in a specific venue onsite at the client’s campus. They coordinate the set-up of the event, management of the event vendors, and serve as the primary client liaison. The Event and Venue Manager is responsible for providing exceptional client experiences through proactive communication and high-touch hospitality-focused service. They must demonstrate exceptional customer service and communication skills. As an Event and Venue Manager, you will manage the overall coordination and execution of an entire program/event from an operational perspective.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and attend site inspections.Perform regular venue audits to ensure the venue is clean, functional, and maintained.Provide information and direction to vendors, facilities staff, and other service providers as required to ensure excellent coordination and execution of work, with minimal disruption.Manage venue calendar and oversee booking of space.Familiarize with emergency response plans and promote practices for safety.Ensure privacy and security of all attendees visiting the facilities.Represent the venue in a professional manner.Manage all operations, functions, and logistics for the event center including scheduling of the conference center using client scheduling software, ordering catering, troubleshooting A/V and other setup issues.Consult with event center clients to determine event needs such as space, physical setup, AV and technical requirements, catering, and event support.Complete overall project timeline and communication plan; and facilitate prompt and accurate handling of all details.Schedule and lead pre-conference meetings for all events.Perform quality assurance and oversee deliverables of Catering, Facilities, Technology and AV, Executive Production, Security, Transportation, and Janitorial.Assist in the checking in of attendees and distribution of giveaways.Act as the primary point of contact to event attendees and guests.Independently interface with day-to-day client contacts.Track and report changes accurately.Input and track event information accurately.Follow established escalation procedures and incident reporting procedures.Complete all tasks and projects as directed and ensure timely delivery based on deadlines.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree or proven experience as an event planner or organizer.2-6 years of experience in event planning, project management, hospitality, or related fields.Prior successful experience in developing and maintaining client relationships.Strong knowledge of program/event management and budget maintenance.Professional oral presentation and writing skills.Prior experience in effectively handling multiple projects/demands.Proficient computer skills, knowledge of G-suite tools, and ability to learn new technology quickly.Work Environment

The work environment for the Event and Venue Manager includes a dynamic and fast-paced setting at the client's campus. The role requires managing various technologies and equipment such as client scheduling software, A/V systems, and catering services. The position may involve working non-standard hours to accommodate event schedules and ensuring that all events run smoothly and efficiently. Dress code is professional to represent the venue appropriately.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00
