Job Title: Estimator/Project Manager

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing federal and municipal construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This person will utilize Excel for the majority of estimating tasks and use Procore and Bluebeam for project management.

The candidate should have a well-rounded in civil, MEP, vertical construction, drywall, and concrete. Familiarity with federal construction practices, safety procedures, and building codes is essential. We are looking for motivated team members to grow with us and are currently accepting applications for an Estimator/Project Manager to provide estimating and overall management direction to multiple projects, handling both construction and financial activities. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, initiative, and teamwork skills are required. Experience in estimating and managing local, state, and federal government projects is preferred.

ResponsibilitiesReview construction plans and specifications for completeness.Perform quantitative take-offs.Attend project site pre-bid meetings and site tours as needed.Communicate with subcontractors regarding project scope, schedule, risks, etc.Provide innovative solutions to complex issues.Estimate and manage projects in the $50,000 - $10,000,000 range.Exhibit strong organizational and planning skills to effectively allocate and develop resources.Provide leadership and guidance to the entire team during both pre-construction and construction phases.Supervise the superintendent to ensure all aspects of the project are addressed prior to mobilization and throughout the construction process.Coordinate with the superintendent on project budget management, construction costs, and other financials to achieve project objectives and profitability.Lead the project team to establish project milestones by developing, managing, and updating the project schedule with the superintendent.Assist the superintendent with company environmental, storm water, and safety programs in accordance with policies and procedures.Focus on quality control efforts to support the Quality Control program.Collaborate with the project team to complete all closeout efforts in a timely manner and archive project information according to company policies and procedures.Effectively delegate and follow up on tasks to achieve results.Maintain professionalism, dependability, and ethical conduct at all times.Essential Skills7+ years of experience in estimating5+ years of experience in project managementDegree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent programs of studyExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesProficient in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft ProjectStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulationsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAdditional Skills & QualificationsField experience is a plusExperience with Local, State, and Federal Government projects is preferredWork Environment

The work environment consists of a small office of about 10-15 people. Some days start in the office while others start on the project site.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
