InfoSec GRC – Technical Lead

The opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to oversee the ongoing deployment and enhancement of our Archer platform. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise in IT security, software development, and systems engineering, combined with strong leadership and project management abilities. 

 

Your key responsibilities

You will be responsible for overseeing technical deployments on the Archer platform and ensuring they aligns with the company's IT security strategy and business goals. This role involves designing and implementing secure solutions within Archer to manage risks and compliance, as well as developing custom modules, applications, and workflows to fulfill organizational requirements. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Archer with other systems, provide management oversight to the development team and drive continuous improvement in the technical practices. In partnership with the GRC Program Manager, you will manage project timelines and development resources to guarantee successful platform implementation and operation. Acting as the main technical point of contact, you will handle technical issues, liaise with vendors, collaborate with GRC service owner and managers for service enhancements, and conduct code reviews and system optimizations to ensure optimal performance and security. Additionally, you will be tasked with preparing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.

 

Skills and attributes for success

Technical Expertise in IT Security: In-depth understanding of risk management, compliance standards, and security frameworks.

Archer Platform Proficiency: Extensive experience with the configuration, customization, and management of the Archer platform.

Software Development Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, SQL, and familiarity with Archer's API.

Systems Engineering and Architecture: Ability to design and implement complex system integrations and architecture adjustments within the Archer environment.

Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, with strong mentoring and coaching skills.

Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects, including resource allocation, timeline management, and deliverable tracking.

Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and systems to make informed decisions.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technologies and maintain a forward-thinking approach to IT security practices.

 

To qualify for the role you must have

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, with a focus on risk management and compliance platforms, preferably Archer.

Proven experience in software development, systems architecture, and engineering.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor technical teams.

Proficiency in programming languages relevant to Archer development (e.g., JavaScript, SQL, Oracle, Json, .Net, Python).

Familiarity with integrating APIs and data exchange protocols.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Archer Certified Professional) are a plus.
