Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced ERP Director to lead the D365 F&O ERP initiative for a global organization, guiding the transition to the cloud and ensuring efficient, high-impact implementations. This role is perfect for someone with a deep understanding of both the functional and technical aspects of D365 F&O and the ability to lead and inspire a diverse, distributed team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the D365 F&O ERP team through an exciting phase of growth, implementation, and transition to the cloud.
* Provide strategic leadership and guidance to functional and technical teams across the organization to achieve a seamless ERP experience.
* Oversee the global rollout of D365, including converting regions from on-prem to cloud-based systems (China, Thailand, and other locations).
* Drive the implementation of additional D365 modules with a focus on delivering enhanced business functionality while keeping customizations to a minimum.
* Collaborate with the leadership team to structure and grow the ERP function, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering team performance.
* Manage the balance between global support, implementation, and project work, working closely with business partners and consultants.
* Ensure effective communication across teams, departments, and regions with a focus on transparency, clear expectations, and performance management.
* Foster a collaborative culture that values teamwork and innovation.
What We Are Looking For:
* Experience with D365 F&O on both the functional and technical sides (ideally including Manufacturing, Food & Beverage sectors).
* Leadership skills: Ability to lead, develop, and mentor a global team across multiple functions (development, support, implementation).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the maturity to manage change, communicate effectively across diverse teams, and provide direction and leadership.
* Proven ability to manage performance, ensure the team has the right structure, and drive results while fostering a positive, supportive culture.
* ERP expertise: Experience in system upgrades, customizations, and optimizing modules across various business areas (O2C, Financials, Customer Service).
* Hybrid work: The role offers flexibility with a hybrid work schedule, with occasional travel to the Chicago office required for key meetings and collaboration.
