These individuals are medical professionals who provide assessment and advice usually to just one mission president and his wife regarding health challenges that the missionaries may be faced with. They do not practice medicine but instead give advice and ascertain that the care being provided by local providers is adequate. This senior service missionary will help the Church fulfill its divinely appointed responsibility to help facilitate gathering Israel through missionary work.
