What is the Opportunity?
As part of an alliance agreement Aecon Nuclear has been awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Beginning in 2023 Aecon will support the validation phase design, procurement, early site preparation and site mobilization scope for the Construction of the Unit 1 Small Modular Reactor at the Darlington site.

 

What You'll Do Here:

Assist with the ongoing implementation and continual improvement of the ergonomic risk factors and aid in return to work and wellness programs and associated documentation.

Assists in the preparation of daily stretch and flex wellness program and document the progress including metrics and KPIs as well as data required to support the health and wellness program. Assists in the tracking of return-to-work and modified duties compliance and completion. Assists in the completion and tracking of environmental inspections. Assists in the preparation of environmental sections and associated costing for proposals. Supports the EHS Director and OHS team in the development of Ergonomic Risk Reduction Plans. Supports the EHS audit process of selected projects as identified and required by the Senior Safety Management Team. Provide general administrative support to the EHS Director and/or OHS team, including but not limited to, research and document management/creation.

 

What You Bring to the Table:

Currently enrolled in a university masters/PhD degree program in Kinesiology/Biomechanics or Ergonomic-related field. Knowledge of recognized ergonomic standards is required. Ability to calculate and track muscular skeletal risk factors and moment forces. Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience in preparing reports. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
