Equity Derivatives Legal Documentation - Analyst / Associate

As an Equity Derivatives Legal Documentation Analyst / Associate within the Equities Middle Office based in Hong Kong, you will be supporting the legal confirmations aspect for all APAC Markets.

Job Responsibilities:

Draft and/or review term sheets and corresponding ISDA confirmations for structured equity products based on ISDA confirmations; Final Terms and Pricing Supplements pursuant to issuer's EMTN program, supporting the APAC region; Negotiate with internal departments (legal and/or front office) on bespoke templates, language and/or specific provisions/clauses related to the confirmation or the relevant ISDA Definitions; Assist with the preparation and negotiation of equity based Master Confirmation Agreements for the APAC region; Negotiate and resolve legal language queries on trade confirmations; Contribute to establishing Asia's regulatory landscape for confirmations related to equity derivatives; Communicate to front office and/or middle office for trade amendments, regulatory changes/market initiatives; Work on continuous process improvement to streamline and deliver efficiency gains to both processes, controls and increase STP (Straight-Through-Processing) rates

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Minimum 1 year of working experience in Equities Middle Office within the financial industry Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Law or other related fields Excellent command of English (native level), both written and spoken are mandatory Strong experience in drafting structured equity ISDA confirmations and basic understanding of Final Terms and Pricing Supplements Strong understanding of the ISDA 2002 Equity Definitions and the ISDA 2006 Definitions Good understanding of the regulatory environment related to confirmations in the US and Europe. Experience with current project(s) and/or roll out of CFTC and EMIR confirmation rules is essential Equity Derivatives product knowledge is required Strong communication and negotiation skills Good command of mandarin (Putonghua), both written and spoken are required to support the China business
