CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for an Equipment Technician II. Type: Contract Job Title: Equipment Technician II Location: Painted Post, NY Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Painted Post, NY Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: Associate degree A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as: Excellent communication abilities to interact with engineers and other stakeholders. Strong organizational skills for managing documentation and data. Problem-solving mindset to assess equipment and troubleshoot issues. Description The Equipment Technician II will be responsible for supporting the melting and forming equipment group with change management documents. This role involves determining the document state, collaborating with engineers and technicians, and completing the necessary documents for process finalization. The technician will work closely with the team to ensure all engineering changes are documented and updated effectively. Roles and Responsibilities: Identify which designs are impacted by Engineering Change Requests (ECRs). Ensure designs are updated to reflect necessary changes. Understand how drawings and documents are interrelated. Verify that approval processes for new technologies are in place. Collaborate with engineers to determine data requirements and assist with document completion. Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and validate against assigned drawings. Coordinate and schedule meetings with internal and external teams, managing logistics and presentation materials. Work with international teams to gather and organize the necessary scope of work documents. Required Qualifications: 2-3 years of relevant experience. Experience in managing or supporting engineering change processes. Strong understanding of drawings and equipment configurations. Proficient in using spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) to organize and analyze data. Strong ability to comprehend and manage budget-related information. Excellent communication skills for interacting with engineers and international teams. Familiarity with meeting logistics, including scheduling and preparing presentation materials. Beneficial Skills: Knowledge of equipment and process in the relevant industry is a plus. Additional Information: No third-party resumes will be accepted.
