Job Description:
****To qualify for this role, you must be able to deploy and be on long-term assignment on Kwajalein Island in the Marshall Islands.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Performs essential tasks involving the operation of heavy construction equipment required in the construction and renovation of family housing units. The incumbent must exercise good interpersonal and technical skills while adhering to required safety standards.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates heavy construction equipment such as cranes, man lifts, loaders, and compact excavators to perform various tasks including lifting, moving, and placing materials, excavation, grading, and demolition.Inspects, maintains, and repairs equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.Loads and unloads materials and equipment as needed.Adheres to safety regulations.Collaborates with other construction professionals, including carpenters and plumbers, to ensure project requirements are met.Assists in the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris and ensuring proper drainage.Assists in coordinating specific project schedules by working with other equipment operators, laborers, and required construction resources.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position, as appropriate.KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Project Manager, Project SuperintendentEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of related work experience in operating construction equipment, including cranes, man lifts, loaders, and compact excavators.SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of construction equipmentAccuracy, attention to detail, consistency, and clarity in conformance with required job duties and safety standards.Physical Requirements:
Physically must be able to lift up to 75 pounds to overhead position.Must be able to push and pull up to 50 pounds.Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Able to work dayshift or nightshift. Exposure to working outdoors in all-weather condition. Ability to Relocate: Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
