GFL Environmental is looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Brampton, ON location!

Key Responsibilities:

Operate the excavator in a safe and efficient manorComplete excavator inspection each shift, report all defects immediately to management.Wash excavator at the end of the shift.Clean ramp to pit rooms regularlyClean up pit roomGarden/power washer hoses are to be coiled up at the end of the shift.Rinse totes and drums as required.Crush drums as requiredSupervise dumping of all truck when in the pit and take appropriate sampleOff load trucks if require, vac truck , fluff trucks or containerized waste.Any leaking roll off are to be cleaned immediately.Assist with operation as require by supervisorOperate loader, skid steer and forkliftHousekeeping in or outside of facility.Assist in a spillBack up truck as requiredCommunicate if there is any special processing at the beginning of the shift.Any other duties as assign by management.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

G Class Drivers LicenseProfessional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Confident, consistent decisive personality.Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.Manual dexterity, ability to lift 75+ lbs required.
