The Role
As an Equipment Maintenance Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be key in ensuring that information is accurate, well-structured, and readily available for internal and external stakeholders. This position also provides the manhours to ensure the Remote Site Handover-Takeover of Customer Equipment at their respective sites, is carried out.
Day-to-day, you’ll focus on the creation, management, and organisation of the Land Systems Delivery Review Board engineering documents, and Remote Site Handover-Takeover of Customer Equipment at their respective UK sites.
Liaise on engineering matters to collect and compile information for documentation purposes and support subject matter experts by transforming raw data into structured and user-friendly formats. Prepare documentation such as reports, manuals, policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring that documents are clear, concise, and aligned with organisational standards and branding. Work as part of the Skynet Land Systems Engineering team, delivering an equipment capability to our Ministry of Defence customer. Ensure documentation adheres to compliance, regulatory, or company-specific quality standards. Identify inefficiencies in documentation processes and recommend improvements, as well as standardise templates, styles, and formatting guidelines across teams.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides flexible hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home. You will also be required to travel to customer sites across the UK with overnight stays monthly basis.
Essential Experience of the Equipment Maintenance Engineer
Familiarity with content and document storage platforms such as SharePoint and the suite of MS Office products. Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple documentation projects simultaneously. Strong ability to organise large amounts of information and ensure quick retrieval, with strong attention to detail to maintain accuracy in all documentation. Ability to work autonomously as well collaboratively as part of team.
Qualifications for the Equipment Maintenance Engineer
Higher National Certificate/ Higher National Diploma in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
