Summary You will serve as an EQUIPMENT FACILITIES AND SERVICES SPECIALIST in the Facility & Equipment Maintenance Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will coordinate efforts with Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), contractors and working with other internal organizations. You will participate in the Division’s equipment maintenance planning, development, coordination, improvement and implementation of procedures governing equipment maintenance requirements in support of the mission. You will aid in solving problems related to assigned equipment scheduling with back shops, contractors and vendors. You will analyze equipment preventative maintenance by man-hours and cost versus projections to indicate significant deviations. You will independently coordinate and manage the Facility and Equipment Maintenance Division’s hazardous materials and waste. You will ensure all hazardous waste containers are properly labeled and in good condition and accumulation sites are set up and maintained in accordance with the rules provided by the environmental office. You will maintain the Division’s hazardous material inventories, ensures material is labeled correctly, and submits orders for new material when requested by supported shops. You will coordinate and manage the Calibration Program for the Division’s assets. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Knowledge of a wide variety of Industrial Equipment and GSE related to the function of the Facility & Equipment Maintenance Division. 2.) Knowledge of FRCSW regulations and procedures in regard to Safety, HAZMAT, HAZWASTE, and the Calibration Program. 3.) Ability to exercise independent judgment, resourcefulness, persuasion, tact and to deal successfully with a variety of people on various matters. 4.) Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to provide management advisory services in assigned functions; and ability to prepare written reports and other communications to accomplish the work. 5.) Well versed in FRCSW's mission, organization, structure, shop locations, production processes, workload programs and channels of communications.
